Good Governance
I invite you to attend a City Council meeting, if you haven’t already. The Council and its committees regularly take up consequential issues that shape daily life in Cambridge. It’s not easy work--and it takes time. If elected, I plan to continue my legal practice on a reduced schedule, so I can focus on Council matters while still making rent.

The Council doesn’t work in isolation. It relies on City staff to research, recommend, and implement policy. As a Councillor, I would listen to and engage with that expertise--and I believe in respecting the professionals who keep the city running. But when I inevitably disagree with their conclusions or proposed actions, I won’t do so lightly. I believe the burden of proof will be mine, to clearly explain why--and to earn the public’s trust in doing so.
